Surface Electromyography and Isometric Dynamometry: Muscular Biomechanics
ثبت نشده
چکیده
Sport training has specific effects in the human organism's physiological and metabolic systems. A continuous workout produces adaptations in these systems, and improves development, stability and increased effectiveness in motor habit execution, achieved through a muscular strength increase. This type of evaluation determines the characteristics of Force-Velocity by means of Dynamometry and Electromyography (EMGs). The aim of this research is to build and develop Muscular Biomechanics Evaluation Prototype System with Surface Electromyography and Dynamometry, in order to evaluate neurological parameters in muscular conditioning and rehabilitation.

Background: The purpose of the present study was to investigate correlative and predictive relationship of lower extremity anatomical alignment, isometric hip abduction and external rotation strength with jump-landing biomechanics using Landing Error Scoring System (LESS). Methods: Anatomical alignment and isometric lower extremity muscle strength of 30 active...
متن کاملSurface EMG electrodes do not accurately record from lumbar multifidus muscles.
OBJECTIVE This study investigated whether electromyographic signals recorded from the skin surface overlying the multifidus muscles could be used to quantify their activity. DESIGN Comparison of electromyography signals recorded from electrodes on the back surface and from wire electrodes within four different slips of multifidus muscles of three human subjects performing isometric tasks that...

OBJECTIVES Compare the immediate effects of a Neurodynamic Mobilization (NM) treatment or foam roller (FR) treatment after DOMS. DESIGN Double blind randomised clinical trial. SETTING The participants performed 100 drop jumps (5 sets of 20 repetitions, separated by 2 min rests) from a 0.5-m high box in a University biomechanics laboratory to induce muscle soreness. The participants were ran...

متن کاملMuscle specificity in tests of cervical flexor muscle performance.
The deep cervical flexor (DCF) muscles are considered to be of substantial clinical importance in the management of neck pain. While conventional cervical flexion (CF) dynamometry methods have been used frequently to assess the capacity of the cervical flexor muscles, it has been suggested that cranio-cervical flexion (CCF) methods may provide a more specific test of DCF muscle performance. Thi...
